*Enter Here* Music Is Something Beautiful Giveaway!!*Ends 5/28/13*

I love music it has gotten me through some of the best and worst times in my life. Songs have spoken to me in ways people couldn’t, when I needed someone desperately to talk to or just cry to.  Everyone enjoys music, you have a favorite band you like to listen to when you’re in certain moods or cleaning the house, lol :).
I always like finding a new band or new song that fits just right with my life. There always seems to be a song like that just when I need it most :). Since I first used my mp3 player I have been the happiest gal when it comes to my music. I can make playlists, set up specific folders; and depending on what kind of mp3 player you have you can do a lot more fancy stuff with them. I don’t have a fancy mp3 player like an iPod or even an iPod Shuffle, but I’m content with mine it does what I want it to lol.
But, if you don’t have one or could use a new one, you’re in for a treat! You can enter below for your chance to win a bunch of goodies, including an iPod Shuffle! You’ll also get a $15 iTunes gift card to buy you some new music!! And you can’t forget the Oleander CD you’ll win too!! Which you can take a listen to below! So, what are you waiting for, go enter now!!
Good Luck and don’t forget to share :)!!

Dear Kellogg’s:

I am writing this letter to you, in hopes that you could possibly help me. I have a 12 year old daughter, her name is Shy Dawn. She was born (Nov. 1st, 2000) with Cytomegalovirus (CMV), which everyone gets at some point in their life; I just happened to become infected while I was pregnant, which caused the virus to be passed to Shy.

Due to her being infected with CMV when she was born and not later in life like most people, it damaged her hearing causing her to be severely deaf. She now has a cochlear implant on/in her left ear to help her hear (she had the surgery when she was 3, and again at age 5 to replace a defective implant). She isn’t a fan of wearing it but, as she has gotten older she has been better about it. Along with CMV she has sensory issues; if she doesn’t like the way something looks or feels in her hands she won’t touch it. Doesn't even want to be near it lol, especially food.

Shy doesn’t really like a lot of foods, I can almost count on one hand the foods she will actually eat and not run away from covering her mouth. She will eat spaghetti noodles (with Parmesan cheese (nothing else)), bologna, french fries, vienna sausage(original), and mashed potatoes (imitation only!!); unfortunately as she has gotten older she won’t eat any of those foods much at all anymore. She has eaten them so much I believe she has made her self sick of them. Sadly, the only thing she will eat with no problems are Cheez It (original) cheese crackers. She will not eat any other brand or flavor, no matter what you try to do; she knows the difference.

Summer 2011 109

Here is Shy from 2011 :) see the implant hanging off on the left side of her head. She couldn’t stand the sound of the traffic going by on the road that day, so she knocked it off. She tends to do that if a certain noise it too high pitched or maybe too “noisy” I guess you could say.

It costs us around $20 a week to make sure she has enough Cheez It crackers that she won’t be looking for a box and go hungry. I am a lover of coupons I will not lie :), it is one of the things I do to help make ends meet just a little bit more. I’ve noticed since me and my sister started couponing 2 years ago that you hardly, if ever will see a coupon for Cheez It crackers.

SunshineCheezItOriginalCrackers_1210

The whole reason I wrote this “letter” is to ask you Kellogg’s or Cheez It or however you would go about saying that. Could you please help me by sending me coupons to help ease my wallet, I’m the person keeping ya’ll in business lol. We spend $80 - $100 a month buying Cheez It cheese crackers, I’d love to see a coupon or two each month to help feed my daughter Shy. I love her dearly :) and wish we could get her to eat something else, anything. I love Cheez It crackers but no offense there are some tasty foods in this world, that she probably will never experience; because she doesn’t like the way it looks or feels in her hands.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope that you can help in some way.

-GypsySoul

To my readers: If you could be so kind to forward and share this letter as much as possible so that I can get help buying my daughter Cheez It crackers each month? Thank you so much in advance!!

Disclaimer: I did not get paid for this post in anyway. I really am trying to get help to buy these for my daughter each month.

To see, or not to see…

If you're like me, you have been blessed with bad eyes. I have worn eyeglasses since I was in the sixth grade, I've alternated between my glasses and contacts; but always settle back with my old trusty spectacles.
glasses

Check us out in our fancy glasses :D! As you can see from the picture above, bad eyes runs in the family, that’s me (on the right) with my Mother, and Grandmother; I figured since Mother’s Day is Sunday May 12th (don’t forget!!) this would be a good picture to share.
Although, I would love to have a spiffy new pair of eyeglasses frames; who doesn't like to change their look up every once in awhile? Not to mention, sometimes you just need a new pair. Prices for glasses are a bit steep at most local optometrists, especially if you want a pair that will last awhile, while making you look good.
Well, look no further my lovely readers I have finally found a place where you can get a nice pair of cheap glasses!! And they have lots, and I mean lots of eyeglass frames for you to choose from. Glasses for everyone you can think of, they carry men’s and women’s frames; plus they also have multifocal and RX sunglasses (I could use a pair of those). That is the only negative to wearing glasses (not being able to wear sunglasses), well besides having to wear them constantly or I’ll run smack dab into the wall lol.

My pick from the ladies frames would be the Coach glasses above :), I like how they look. I believe those will be the next pair I buy, it’s about that time anyway lol. These frames are only $151 and if I use the 15% discount code below I would save even more money!! I think I paid almost $200 for my current frames, and they aren't Coach.
GlassesUSA.com has such a variety of frames, you’re sure to find something everyone will like. They have brand name frames like Elizabeth Arden, Coach, Guess and many more!! With glasses as low as $48 (Coach frames) you'll definitely find a pair to fit your budget. Check out the Try-It Mirror below and see how your choices will look before you buy them! I did and it’s really cool, you can put almost any frame on your picture so you can decide if you like them, how cool is that!
Now on to that awesome discount code I mentioned earlier from GlassesUSA.com!!
Save 15% storewide plus get free shipping on orders of $50 or more using CODE: FS15!!
Or use CODE: Blog10 , and save 10% off any order of prescription glasses!
You can keep up to date with all GlassesUSA.com happenings by following them on Twitter @GlassesUSA, or give them a like on their Facebook page. Be sure to check them out, they always have great deals happening.
Oh, I almost forget GlassesUSA.com has a 110% Lowest Price Guarantee, and of course a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. They even have a very generous refer-a-friend program ($30 per referral), if your families like mine that could add up pretty quickly!
Disclosure: Ramblings of a Gypsy Soul was compensated for the above post. Although, all thoughts and opinions in the above article are my very own, and may differ from those of your own.
